Increasing Entropy

from Dysthymia by Attilan

/

about

Now, we climb into the more resentful part of deperssion. Seeing the world's imperfections and seemingly destructive energy, but not doing anything about it. You don't know how, or what. You feel like you're much too small and powerless. You watch and wait for it to die.
There is, however, a solace. You start to realize that throughout all this darkness, someone or something helps keep you sane and make you feel a little less inhuman.

lyrics

Temperatures rising, but people are colder still
A long way from the ashes, but still very far down hill
Ignorance blinds you blissfully, I wish I couldn't see
The ruins of your city, and those below me.

Every day, I grow jaded and exasperated
Hold me now before I fall to apathy
Every time I look into your eyes
World of black, crowned again, increase entropy

What lurks in the darkness is not as frightening as what poisons the light
Shadows across the hall, a bomb on your homeward flight
Snap back to symmetry, A suicidal shade precariously perched
A bullet from the legislative, a sanguinary sect in the church

"Don't hang on. Just let go"

Every day, I grow jaded and exasperated
Hold me now before I fall to apathy
Every time I look into your eyes
World of black, crowned again, increase entropy
